MAJ'S MONEY
Best Series + HDCP last 4 weeks ($20 each week)
(08/09/05) This wager between SOJ and MJG is for the highest series + hdcp between the two of them each week for the last 4 weeks of bowling. The lower series + hdcp pays the other $20 each week. We will update each weeks winner right here on All Things Maj - Maj's Money. Stay tuned...
08/10/05 - SOJ Wins $20 from MJG (SOJ - 584 : MJG - 557)
08/17/05 - MJG Wins $20 from SOJ (MJG - 615 : SOJ - 519)
Top 3 Triple Crown (10-1 odds)
This wager between RL and MJG is for RL finishing in the top 3 of the Triple Crown. If RL accomplishes this he earns $10 if he's unable to finish in the top 3 he owes MJG $1.
Summer Bowling Triple Crown (50-5 odds)
This wager is between Maj and MJG for the Triple Crown of Summer Bowling. Whoever can hold all three spots (High Average, High Game and High Series) for one week wins. Maj, who currently holds High Game (241) and High Series (587) will win $50 from MJG if he can capture High Average. MJG who currently holds High Average (178) by 3 pins will win $5 if he is able to capture the other two categories of the Triple Crown.
MJG bowls 1st (100-1 odds)
This bet is that MJG will wind up with the lowest avg. on his team and therefore bowl 1st for at least one week. If this happens, MJG owes Maj and SOJ $100 each.
1st to 600+ Series ($10)
Maj and MJG put up $10. Whichever one hits a 600 series or higher in bowling first, wins $10. If both hit 600 the same night, the higher 600 series wins the $10
Big Unit 18+ Wins ($25)
SOJ and MJG notted up in yet another wager, this one on Randy Johnson's performance in pinstripes. SOJ believes The Big Unit will win 18 or more games in 2005, MJG thinks that is too many for a 41 year old with a flukey back. Winner wins $25.
SOJMG Survivor ($10)
This bet between SOJ and MJG will be determined by who is ousted out of Survivor first between the two of them, the first one ousted owes the other $10.
08/17/05 - SOJ wins this one! In Game 1 MJG was ousted breaking the tie between Judy and himself. Unfortunately SOJ was ousted later in the evening with a 519.
SOJ finishes 2nd or better in Bowling Survivor V (25-5 odds)
SOJ is determined to win another Bowling Survivor, Maj and MJG think he is nuts and should have considered himself lucky last year. If by some chance SOJ is able to finish 2nd or better this year, SOJ will collect $25 each from Maj and MJG, if he is ousted sooner SOJ owes each $5.
08/17/05 - With SOJ falling in Week 10 (4th place overall) He succumbs to a $5 payday for Maj and MJG.
Tony ousted Week 5 ($5)
This wager between RL and MJG is that Tony will be ousted from Bowling Survivor V with a 509 series in Week 5 (7/13/05). If Tony is ousted, RL owes MJG $5, if someone other than Tony is ousted, MJG owes RL $5. This wager wound up as a push as Tony was not ousted and neither was anyone else. Jenny tied Tony with a 509 series. Tony was however ousted the following week in a one-game bowl off vs Jenny.
10-Pin Survivor (300-5, 100-5)
With Maj ousted from Survivor in Week 3 and still looking for a way to cash, Maj came up with the following wager.
Maj must make all his 10-pin spares from Week 7 thru Week 15, If he does this, he will win $300 from MJG and $100 from SOJ. If he misses any 10-pin spare along the way, the deal ends and Maj owes both MJG and SOJ $5 each. During the 8 weeks that this wager spans, Maj must attempt a minumum of 10 10-pin spares or else there is no deal and no money won or lost.
SCORE! - 07/06/05 - In the very first week of this wager, and Maj's 2nd attempt at a 10-pin spare, Maj pays the piper and misses the spare and pays out $5 to both MJG and SOJ.
Out of Bowling Survivor Week 1 (100-1 odds)
This bet is a 100-1 odds bet that MJG will be knocked out of Survivor 1st week. It was an easy money bet for MJG who easily survived and collected $1 from Maj and SOJ.
Traffic Light
This wager is on the construction of a traffic light separating Mill Creek Mall from the new mall construction accross the road. If there is no traffic light installed on the day the new mall has it's grand opening, Maj wins $5.00. MJG is on the other end of this wager. The mall is scheduled for a Spring 2005 Grand Opening.
SCORE! On 05/28/05 The mall had it's official grand opening and no traffic light was installed.
3 Inch Snowfall
If there is a 3 inch or more snowfall in either Northern NJ, NYC or Long Island from 03/15/2005 thru 05/31/2005 Maj wins a free lunch. JD Tuff Guy and Slohcine are also in on this wager for the same amount (a free lunch) all are against MJG who believes THE SNOW IS OVER!
SCORE! On 03/23/05 anywhere from 2-8 inches of snow fell in NJ depending on location. Lunch was good. We went to The OG and had one of the best lunches ever, mostly because we didn't pay the bill!
